Community Involvement

In alignment with the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, I aim to improve the lives of children and families in need through financial support, volunteerism, thought leadership and collaboration with community partners. I stand behind finding a cure for pediatric cancer, partnering with organizations such as the The Mario Lemieux Foundation, and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).

The Mario Lemieux Foundation

The Mario Lemieux Foundation is dedicated to cancer research, patient care, and supporting families in challenging medical situations. Austin’s Playrooms was created to benefit families and improve the quality of a child’s hospital experience whether as a visitor or patient by establishing cheerful playrooms that are safe, calming and comfortable.

Since inception, the Mario Lemieux Foundation has raised over 31 million dollars for their programs and built 38 Austin’s Playrooms.

Our team spearheaded the efforts to raise funds to remodel the Austin's Playroom at Camp Pendleton. We are passionate about providing support for children facing cancer and our military families and are thankful this opportunity allowed us to do both.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the San Diego office is proud to donate money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
